Drais Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is an ethical pharmaceutical company headquartered in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and dedicated to the development of novel therapeutic treatments that address unmet medical needs and provide significant benefits over currently available therapies. The Drais management team consists of highly experienced, seasoned individuals with sustained, successful track records in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to the formation of Drais Pharmaceuticals, Inc., the team founded AkaRx, Inc. in 2005 successfully guiding their lead compound through Phase 2 proof of concept and negotiating the sale of the company to MGI Pharma in 2008. The team brings to Drais a broad, in-depth knowledge of the clinical and regulatory aspects of drug development over a broad spectrum of therapeutic areas. This broad expertise provides Drais with the ability to select development projects over a wide range of therapeutic areas focusing on those projects that provide the best combination of potential for clinical benefit and successful commercialization. It is the goal at Drais to manage our clinical development programs in the most efficient and timely manner, and, thereby, rapidly build value with expediting the availability of significant therapies to patients in need.

Drais has strong ties throughout academia and the international pharmaceutical community, and has a uniquely close relationship with the Japanese pharmaceutical industry. It is through these relationships that Drais is expanding its development pipeline and structuring joint development and marketing agreements.
